Recharge and Groundwater Professionals Present at Tri-State Seminar

Events

TriStateHydrogeologists and Engineers from DBS&A and Clear Creek Associates will be presenting to water and wastewater industry professionals at the 40th Annual Tri-State Seminar taking place from August 4 to August 7, 2025, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Tri-State is comprised of member associations: AZ Water Association (AZ Water), California Water Environment Association (CWEA), and the Nevada Water Environment Association (NWEA).

DBS&A Engineer Nate Arnold, EI, will co-present with Clear Creek Principal Hydrogeologist Geno Mammini, RG, on “Groundwater Wells 101”.

Clear Creek Hydrogeologists Alex Potter, RG, and Travis Geringer, RG, will co-present on “Planning and Implementing Aquifer Recharge Projects”. Aquifers across the region are under increasing pressure as groundwater withdrawals outpace natural recharge rates. In response, communities are proactively exploring strategies to secure their future water supplies, including using Managed Aquifer Recharge (MAR). These projects require careful planning to address hydrologic, technical, logistical, and regulatory challenges. This presentation outlines primary recharge technologies central to these strategies and offers a general guide on approaches for successfully implementing such projects.
