New Mexico Class VI UIC Well Program Primacy Efforts Overview
DBS&A Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) Leader Olivia Brown will be presenting an overview of the New Mexico Class VI Underground Injection Control Well Program Primacy Efforts at the Building an Advanced Energy Ecosystem conference being organized by New Mexico Women Lead, which will take place in Albuquerque on September 15 and 16, 2025.
DBS&A is a key team member supporting the State of New Mexico in the preparation and submission of its Class VI primacy application, under the leadership of the Oil Conservation Division of Energy, Minerals and Natural Resources Department of New Mexico, and in collaboration with New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, state agencies, and project partners.
Gaining insight into the regulatory, technical, and organizational requirements of this process, our team has established a proven workflow for developing primacy applications, including the preparation of draft rules, crosswalks, technical program descriptions, and supporting documentation.
