John Ayarbe, PG, is a Senior Hydrologist with more than 18 years of professional experience in the environmental consulting industry. Most of his recent experience is related to supporting the mining industry and solid waste landfills with groundwater compliance matters in New Mexico. His specializations include environmental permitting and compliance, groundwater and vadose zone hydrology, and environmental site characterization. He manages all aspects of projects including negotiating and interfacing with regulators, preparing and overseeing project schedules and budgets, evaluating data, and preparing reports. He holds an MS in Hydrology from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology and is a registered Professional Geologist.

Mr. Ayarbe works with a range of clients, including private sector clients such as Barrick Gold Corporation, Freeport-McMoRan Inc. (FMI), and Waste Management, Inc. (WM), and federal and state agencies such as the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Texas Commission of Environmental Quality (TCEQ), and New Mexico  Environment Department of Transportation (NMED).
