Founded in 1984, Daniel B. Stephens & Associates, Inc. (DBS&A) provides comprehensive services in soil and groundwater investigation and remediation, groundwater and surface water hydrology, water resources development and planning, and expert support for environmental litigation or ADR.

Dr. Daniel B. Stephens, founder of the firm, is an internationally recognized expert in vadose zone hydrogeology and groundwater quality issues. Dr. Stephens' distinguished career in consulting as well as in research and university education has earned him an international reputation in hydrogeology, groundwater contamination, and vadose zone processes. He has presented nationally and internationally on vadose zone issues and has published over 100 articles on these topics in scientific journals and conference proceedings.

DBS&A employs about 100 professionals in offices in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Austin and Lubbock, Texas, Newport Beach and Santa Barbara, California and Boulder, Colorado. Our in-house staff is comprised of engineers, hydrogeologists, hydrologists, geochemists, and GIS and database specialists, many of which hold advanced degrees. Based on our breadth of expertise, DBS&A is regularly called upon by our clients to solve their most complex environmental problems.
